Year 5/6 were undefeated at the tournament (they won 7 games and drew one) – it was very impressive to watch. Year 3/4 also managed to win a game. Well done Juniors!!!

Year 3/4 picked up a 5th place. Year 5/6 won their group, unfortunately we were pipped to the post in the final, but still came 2nd overall. Well done to all of you!
Year 5 Visit to GSK
Science Week 14-18 March 2016
During Science week the school participated in the event, ‘Make A Tree’. We had to make a tree in groups using four pieces of A4 paper and scissors. The winners were: Jessica, Isobel, Hattie and Kenzie.
The tree will be entered into the competition where we have the chance to win trees for our school.
Mothers Day Assembly

We had a Mothers Day celebration. Children presented their parents with flowers and read poems aloud. We were joined by Mark (our vicar).
World Book Day

In English we have been looking at the story ‘The Goobie’. There was a competition where children had to write about the Goobie. The winners were Tom (Y5), Noah (Y3), Jacob (Y1) and Oliver (FS). We also met Natasha Stryde – the winners even won a signed copy of her book.
11th February 2016
Year 5/6 have been learning about Buddhism. We are joined by a Buddhist monk. We learned about their culture; we meditated and were able to ask him questions.
8th February 2016
KS2 were visited by Lowewood Museum. Y5/6 learned about the Ancient Egyptians and had to work hard to solve the clues of who the pyramid belonged to and Y3/4 learned about the Anglo-Saxons.
